Product Description

Nestled in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains, the City of La Cañada Flintridge was incorporated in 1976. Previously, it had been two distinct communities - La Cañada (Spanish for canyon) and Flintridge.

This menu illustration of a cheerful flying insect, complete with chef’s hat and serving a ‘buzzburger,’ was from the Yellow Jacket drive-in.

Located at Foothill Blvd, the restaurant was owned and operated by Lloyd Baumer and his mother Agnes Atol and was a popular eatery serving homemade food such as chili, apple pie and the ‘yellow jacket special’ -a sundae from the fountain for 50c.

We’re not sure when the Yellow Jacket drive-in closed but the Hill Street Café opened in 1991 at the same location.

Gallery quality Giclée print on natural white, matte, 100% cotton rag, acid and lignin free archival paper using Epson Ultrachrome HD archival inks. Custom printed with border for matting and framing.

Each order includes a print of the interior menu.

All printed in USA.
