Product Description

The Americana Hotel was a ritzy resort which opened in Bal Harbour, Florida, in 1956.

Ultra-luxurious, the 475-room beachfront hotel attracted an upmarket clientele who could afford the then eyebrow-raising $32 cost of a night’s stay.

There were four restaurants, with costumed wait staff in the hotel, and the nightclub was the setting for spectacular floor shows, featuring top entertainers such as Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack, accompanied by full orchestras.

This striking room service breakfast menu cover from 1965, was in psychedelic mod ‘Go Go’ style.

The Americana became the Sheraton Bal Harbour in 1980 and was demolished in 2007 to make way for the St Regis Bal Harbour Resort.
