Product Description

Hoefly’s Restaurant: Julius Hoefly, a German immigrant, opened this popular steak and ribs restaurant in Long Beach, California, in the early 1930s. According to the local newspaper, it served enormous steaks that made strong men “drool incontrollably.” After his death in a boating accident, the restaurant was taken over by two brothers Irving and Al Solomon who kept the great food but modernized the restaurant and opened a second Hoefly’s. We have singled out this great illustration from the interior menu which advertises the restaurant’s cocktail list.
