Warner Bros. Studio Cafe, Hollywood 1941
Product Description
The Studio Cafe in Burbank was the place to go for everyone who was working on the Warner Bros. studio lot. Prices were good (the most expensive items being Imported Natural Gooseliver, Virginia Ham and Smoked Turkey at $1) and the location was convenient which kept the talent near the set. And what an amazing place to see the stars!
Whoever brought this menu home recorded the names on the back of the menu of actors who were seen at lunch that day, including, Bette Davis, Stu Erwin, Ida Lupino, John Garfield and Gary Cooper. Legendary Film director Howard Hawks (Scarface (1932), Bringing Up Baby (1938), Only Angels Have Wings (1939), His Girl Friday (1940), To Have and Have Not (1944), The Big Sleep (1946), Red River (1948), The Thing from Another World (1951), Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (1953), and Rio Bravo (1959) was also in the cafe.
