This cheerful Topps menu was offered at an historic, old-school neighborhood restaurant located on 95th and Jeffery on Chicago's South Side.
Established in the 1950s, it was a legendary local meeting spot and especially popular with families, thanks to its extensive fountain menu.
Its Mile-Hi chocolate soda, a blend of three large scoops of ice cream in bubbling soda water, topped with whipped cream, chocolate springers, sweet wafers and a cherry, was big hit with kids. It was limited to one per customer and cost 85c.
There was also a lolly pop tree for’ kids from 6 to 60’ as well as a full menu offering anything from burgers and sandwiches to salads and deluxe dinners.
‘Topps in service, Topps in quality and Topps in eating pleasure’ was this restaurant’s motto.
We believe this establishment closed in the 1960s.
