Product Description

This stylish menu cover showing a crew paddling a traditional Hawaiian outrigger canoe is from the famous Outrigger Hotel on Waikiki Beach, famous for its surf culture.

Californians Roy and Estelle Kelley built their first hotel - the five-storey, 50-room Islander Hotel in 1947, allowing middle-class families to experience this island paradise for the first time.

In 1963 they acquired the old Outrigger Canoe Club from the estate of Queen Emma of Hawaii and opened the Waikiki Outrigger on prime Waikiki beachfront four years later.
More hotels followed and by the 1980s the family was the biggest provider of hospitality on the island of Hawaii, with more than 7,000 rooms.
Today the  hugely popular Outrigger brand is owned by a Colorado- based firm that specialises in travel and leisure investments.
The Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort remains one of Hawaii's luxury hotels, drawing tourists from all around the world.
