Product Description
The Hurricane was a legendary nightspot that filled the whole of the second floor of the Brill Building on Broadway at 49th street and evoked the atmosphere of the South Pacific, with a décor of palm trees and tropical flora and fauna.
Big band leader Duke Ellington headlined here in 1943 for an unprecedented 25 weeks and it was one of the first nightclubs to have an integrated clientele.
It operated from 1940 to 1944.
