charming menu cover is from London in the Swinging Sixties and shows a couple wearing white aprons tied around their waists with extravagant bows.

The chef, with a toque on his head and a red bandana around his neck, is passing a steaming hot dish to a pretty waitress or perhaps she is the co-owner.

So far, we’ve been unable to pinpoint the exact location of The Cup and Platter but, judging from the cheerful interior menu, this was an all-day restaurant that served booze and the prices were in British shillings and pence.
