Product Description

Paul’s Fisherman’s Galley was at the land-end of the pier in Redondo Beach, California, and this delightful image of a swordfish captain was on the front cover of the wine list.

Chef and owner Paul Marinkovich was called by one reviewer’ a king in the kitchen and a master at the preparation of seafood.’ The Los Angeles Times described the food on offer as ‘excellent.’

The Galley, as it was known, was demolished during the early days of this lovely coastal city’s urban redevelopment.

Mr Marinkovich went on to open the Golden Goose pub in Torrance, famous for its hospitality and good food. Reviewers often mentioned his 20-layer walnut torte as one of the best desserts on offer.

We think the Golden Goose stayed in business until the late 70s.
