Ollie Hammond's Steak Houses were Los Angeles institutions. The first one opened in 1934 and they were open 24 hours a day and were hugely popular with businessmen, actors and families.
Legendary newspaper columnist and radio personality Walter Winchell was a regular.
Famous for its legendary steaks and burgers it also served one of the finest baked potatoes to be found on the west coast.
