Product Description
Decorative wall paintings are a long tradition in hotels and restaurants and perhaps none are as whimsical and charming as the ones created by the noted artist Jo Mora for The Fable restaurant at the Drake-Wiltshire Hotel in San Francisco. It depicts a parade of animals bringing out food to be served to customers, led by a pig wearing a chef's hat. Mora, who born in Uruguay in 1876 and who moved to the United States when he was a child, had an enormous artistic range. He was an illustrator, cartoonist and sculptor. Delightful and colorful, this image has been taken from a 1948 postcard provided by the restaurant as marketing material and sent by a satisfied customer.
