Set up in 1946, the corporation was dissolved in 1977 amid worsening relations between the three countries.\u003cbr\u003eThis vibrant menu cover from the defunct airline, showing a traditional shield and drinking vessel, was from a flight that set off from Nairobi in Kenya, stopped in Dar es Salaam in Tanzania and ended in Blantyre, the commercial and financial capital of Malawi in southeastern Africa.\u003cbr\u003eThe image also plays tribute to the herds of giraffes, elephants, zebras, Cape buffalo, rhinos and other animals which roam across East Africa’s vast savannahs or are protected in wildlife reserves.\u003cbr\u003eEastern Africa is home to the continent's highest peaks, dominated by the iconic Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, the tallest mountain in Africa and the world's tallest freestanding mountain (19,341 ft).
