Drinks Parade. Hotel Roosevelt New York 1950s
Product Description
Who doesn’t love a drink parade? These cheerful tumblers, wineglasses, flutes and goblets are marching off to do their duty at the Roosevelt Hotel cocktail bar. One is holding a banner and the ‘parade marshal’ is twirling a swizzle stick.
Inside there are 29 ways to say ‘cheers’ so we assume this cocktail bar was a convivial place to be.
This menu belonged to the Hotel Roosevelt in New York City. The Roosevelt was owned by Conrad Hilton and his company, Hilton Hotels. He purchased the hotel in 1943, along with the famous Plaza Hotel, establishing Hilton as the first coast-to-coast American hotel chain.
The hotels magnate sold the Roosevelt hotel to the Hotel Corporation of America in 1956.
We believe this charming menu, complete with a handsome coat of arms on the front, is from the 1950s era.
Each order includes a print of the interior menu.
