Continental Hotel, Lausanne Switzerland 1990s
Product Description
Built for the 1964 Swiss National Exhibition (Expo 64), the four-star Continental Hotel in Lausanne is located near beautiful Lake Geneva and is in the heart of French-speaking Switzerland.
The hotel was updated in 1994, and we think this striking menu illustration is dated around that time. It was created in rich, jewel colors of reds, greens, blues and yellows for use in the hotel dining room. There’s no artist signature, but it is surely the work of a local person.
Lausanne has been described as Geneva’s ‘cooler sister’ and is the cultural capital of Switzerland with plentiful theaters, museums, festivals and many jazz clubs. In 2024, Swiss tourism experienced its best-ever year thanks to increasing numbers of Americans visiting the country.
Each order includes a print of the interior menu.
All printed in USA.
