Product Description

We like the panache of Carmichael’s Fabulous Steak Ranch in downtown Atlanta, Georgia.

Not only did the establishment call itself Fabulous and promote the charcoal-broiled, aged steaks from Omaha and the imported vintage wines and champagnes served in the restaurant.

The pink menu also trumpeted the fact that ‘stars of stage, screen and television’ ate there and ‘America’s leading bands and combos’ entertained guests.

Inside the menu - which depicts a crown and a pair of horns as the restaurant logo – it’s revealed that a 25 oz T-bone steak was the most expensive dish on offer and would set you back a mere $6.50.

We believe John Carmichael, who also operated the Gypsy Room, described as Atlanta’s Smartest Supper Club and located at 26 Pine Street from 1951 to 1954, was the proprietor of this old-style steakhouse which served good food and good entertainment.

We’re not sure when this establishment closed.
