Product Description

This is a laugh-out-loud menu for Glorifried Ham and Eggs, a popular diner on Broadway in New York in the 1950s. Featuring two pigs - a monocle-wearing gentleman pig in top hat and tails and his genteel lady pig wife, their characters are vastly amusing and do a great job of promoting the food on offer. What does Glorifried mean when it comes to ham and eggs? As best we can tell, it means that they were cooked in creamery butter. A fabulous example of vintage menu humor the restaurant was sited on the south-east corner of Broadway at 51st street opposite the Ham 'n Egg Corner, making some sort of Ham 'n Eggs crossroads of the world. Judging by the interior menu an awful lot of Pure Creamery Butter was being used in Glorifried Ham 'n Eggs kitchen.
