Product Description

We’re guessing a movie fan saved this menu from the Warner Bros commissary in 1963, circling the date in red pen and writing notes on the back.

The person scribbled down the names of the stars in the canteen including actor Efrem Zimbalist jnr, crooner Bing Crosby and the hypnotically beautiful actress Ursula Andress who starred in the first James Bond film Dr No.

Also noted on the back were the sets of My Fair Lady starring Audrey Hepburn and Rex Harrison and directed by George Cuckor. It won eight Academy Awards including Best Picture.

There were also the sets of the Oscar-winning Music Man, Robin and the 7 Hoods and Cheyenne West as well as two television series 77 Sunset Strip and Temple Houston.

As usual, Warner Bros employees had a generous menu to choose from.

We liked the Secretary’s Light Lunch – a throwback to a different era that would elicit howls of protest today.
