Product Description

For a short period in the 1960s the Thatched Barn - a landmark hotel on the outskirts of London - became a very short-lived Playboy Club. Close to Elstree Film Studios, the thinking must have been that stars would flock to the club and attract well-to-do locals as well. It was not to be and the club closed down and the Thatched Barn returned to being a conventional hotel. an outpost of the legendary Harry's New York Bar in the club was supposed to be another enticement. At least we are left with its "Bar Fly" themed drinks and sandwich menu from that time.
