This marvelously kitschy menu cover came from The Cave, part of the famous Steuben's empire in Boston. Opened in 1945 by brothers Max and Joe Schneider, it was the city's premier nightspot for two decades.There were floor shows nightly, big bands performed and The Rat Pack made appearances here. It was also where comedian Jerry Lewis first saw his name in lights: "The sign at Steuben's read Jerry Lewis — Good Steaks, he said, laughing. What was supposed to be a 2-week stay stretched to 47. I practically lived on Boylston Street."
