Imagine sitting late at night over a plate of spaghetti in Louigi's Italian Charcoal Broiler in Las Vegas when the door opens and in walks …..The Rat Pack. Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr, Peter Lawford and Joey Bishop were all regulars at this family-run restaurant on the famous Las Vegas strip in the 1960s. They would arrive after the midnight show at The Sands Hotel and party in the main dining room till the wee hours, smoking, eating and drinking, alongside a bevy of glamorous women.

Originally opened in 1951, for a time Louigi's was the only restaurant on The Strip, outside of the ones in hotels. The place was run by Louigi Coniglio, whose genial charm made him a favorite of many of the stars. Frank Sinatra would sometimes come in and dine with the host at booth 1. Nat King Cole, Louis Prima and Johnny Rivers were also regulars here.
